#1 - Juniper Greenville
Juniper Greenville is probably our favorite location in downtown for a number of reasons. It’s easy to access, has gorgeous decor all year round that changes with the seasonality (photo above is from Spring/Summer 2025), has a wonderful food and drink selection, and gives you an easy excuse to get dressed up for the soon-to-be special occasion. And to top it all off, it’s a sweet rooftop bar with an incomparable view of downtown Greenville. Your best bet with planning a killer proposal here is reaching out to their Event Sales Manager - Jayme to book either part of the inside space, or their incredible outdoor rooftop lawn.
Pro Tip - This is the best spot on our whole list to incorporate a proposal setup for those who want to go all out. Think marquee letters that say “Marry Me?” at the end of a aisle of candles and rose petals.
#2 - Pretty Place Chapel
Our most iconic location, Pretty Place Chapel, really took the internet by storm during 2020 via social media videos of its incredible sunrises. There’s nothing like it, and thankfully it’s open to the public and only an hour from downtown Greenville. And good news: it can be reserved as well for those wanting an intimate proposal. You can almost guarantee there to be people visiting this chapel every morning of the year. Be sure to consider holidays and their website schedule when planning.
Pro Tip - Instead of listing them here, we wrote a whole other blog post just about Pretty Place. You’re welcome.

#4 - Paris Mountain State Park
For our nature lovers - Paris Mountain State Park is a playground a great surprise proposal spots. A short drive from Greenville, you’ll be surrounded by the natural flora and fauna of the region, which means wildflowers in the spring and falls colors in October. The spots we like best are all on flat trails and less than 1/2 mile walk to get to. Weather is an important factor here as there’s not a great covered backup spot. And restrooms sometimes aren’t open for the first hour the park is open so plan accordingly. Thankfully there is public wifi at the Park Center if you have poor signal trying to connect with your photographer.
Pro Tip - We love morning here - as long as your session ends 3 hours after sunrise or less you should have wonderful lighting the whole time.

With no shortage of beautiful proposal spots, the South Carolina Botanical Gardens near Clemson’s campus is a phenomenal spot for those with a connection to the university or not. Lots of walking trails on property lead guests to multiple different spots we’re personally a fan of. And 5 spots, one of those being the Gazebo seen above, is also a spot that can be reserved through calling 864-656-2536 or emailing scbg@clemson.edu to book. Heads up - no rentals during home football games.
Pro Tip - Spring wildflowers can really transform a normal proposal spot into an extraordinary one, and don’t have the added difficulty of planning around the football schedule.
#6 - Rock Quarry Garden
